3rd Shift Quality Technician
East Longmeadow, MA

Are you ready to join a growing team where your skills will be valued and developed? Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Technician Level 2 to support our production processes through detailed inspections, data recording, and quality assurance activities. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple quality functions within the facility.

Responsibilities of the Quality Tech – 3rd shift (14)

  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections for In-Process, Final Assembly, and Incoming materials.
  • Record inspection data accurately in required documents or electronic databases.
  • Follow and apply Q-S.A.M. work instructions.
  • Conduct Finished Goods Warehouse audits as needed.
  • Track, document, and analyze defects to ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Use sampling plans to determine correct sample quantities for product lots.
  • Operate measuring instruments, fixtures, and gauges to verify product quality.
  • Maintain functional knowledge of calibration requirements related to games manufacturing.
  • Utilize computer systems to record inspection and measurement data.
  • Use specialized instrumentation when required and document measured results.
  • Process audit data and DMRs electronically.
  • Understand and apply ISO9001 ISIR Corrective Action System principles.
  • Maintain a working understanding of systems used to submit product samples for toxicity and certification testing.
  • Transition effectively between various Quality areas within the facility.
  • Fully understand toxicity and certification submission systems and related product regulations (Level 2 requirement).
  • Assist in training Level 1 Quality Technicians.
  • Perform all aspects of the FEP Samples Assembly process and QSAM audit process.

Requirements of the Quality Tech – 3rd Shift (14)

  • Prior experience in quality inspection or a related technical field preferred.
  • Ability to perform both visual and mechanical inspections.
  • Knowledge of Q-S.A.M. work instructions.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking, analysis, and sampling plans.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools, gauges, and calibration concepts.
  • Strong computer skills for data entry and electronic documentation.
  • Understanding of ISO9001 ISIR Corrective Action System.
  • Ability to learn and use specialized instrumentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to train and mentor Level 1 Technicians.
  • Ability to work across multiple quality functions within the facility.

Compensation & Benefits of Quality Tech – 3rd shift (14)

  • Pay: $18–$22 per hour
  • Union dues are required of all non-manager employees on the production floor, including our client's team members. This is $25 a week for the first 4 weeks of work and then drops to $13.20 a week for every week after that.
  • Background Check: Conducted upon conversion to full-time employment
  • Training:
  • Initial training on 1st or 2nd shift for 3–4 weeks
  • Transition to 3rd shift after training
