AOI Operator II
Westborough, MA

Are you passionate about precision and quality in manufacturing? Our client is seeking a dedicated AOI Operator II to join their team in Westborough, MA. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and compliance of products manufactured on the SMT line through meticulous inspection using Automated Optical Inspection equipment.
 

Responsibilities of the AOI Operator II

  • Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling protocols.

  • Utilize Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on components' moisture sensitive levels (MSL).

  • Verify product compliance with workmanship standards as documented in work instructions.

  • Ensure process compliance with established AOI programs.

  • Validate the integrity of data collected by machinery.

  • Communicate defects not captured by equipment to responsible personnel for program enhancement.

  • Collaborate with assembly operators to address defects noted during AOI program reviews.

  • Support and adhere to all ISO standards related to our client's Quality Management Systems.

  • Contribute to corporate and site 6S objectives.

Requirements of the AOI Operator II

  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic manufacturing systems (OCuity).

  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection equipment and procedures.

  • Ability to pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification and IPC-A-610 Modules 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8 workmanship standards.

  • Capability to work on multiple procedures/products and support two or more product lines/customers.

  • Experience in following established procedures on routine work under moderate supervision.

  • High School Diploma or GED, with 2+ years of related experience or vocational/technical certification.
