Job Title: Mechanical Upfitting Assembler

Location: Gilbert, AZ

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (occasional overtime on Fridays)

Pay: $20–$25/hour DOE

Job Summary:
Responsible for assembling and installing mechanical and electrical components on specialty vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and water trucks. Ensures high-quality, safe, and precise upfitting of vehicles according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, and wire upfitting components such as cranes, welders/compressors, back-up cameras, strobe lights, air tanks, safety kits, center consoles, 7-way plugs, and hitches.

• Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment to safely disassemble and reassemble vehicle sections.

• Utilize hand tools, tape measures, mag drills, and other assembly tools to complete installations.
• Interpret vehicle specifications and ensure proper load handling and lift chain angles.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and operational compliance.

Requirements: 

• Experience in mechanical assembly and vehicle upfitting.
• Knowledge of wiring and installation of vehicle electrical components.
• Skilled in operating lifting equipment and understanding vehicle load capacities.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools and precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent schedule with occasional overtime.

Compensation:

• $20–$25/hour, depending on experience.
