Location: Mankato, MN
We are seeking a skilled BAS Technician / Programmer to support the installation, programming, and optimization of building automation and controls systems. This role blends hands-on fieldwork with system configuration, troubleshooting, and client support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and passionate about improving building performance through smart controls.
Install, program, test, and commission building automation systems (HVAC, lighting, energy management).
Diagnose system issues and perform corrective actions to ensure proper operation.
Create and modify system graphics, sequences of operations, and control logic.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and customers to support project delivery.
Provide ongoing technical support, maintenance, and system upgrades.
Associate degree or equivalent experience in HVAC, electrical systems, automation, or related field.
Experience with BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara, BACnet, Modbus, or similar).
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls theory, and low-voltage wiring.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills.
