CNC Machinist – MAZAK Programming Machine Location: Mesa, AZ Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong skills in MAZAK programming to join a small, tight-knit team. This is a hands-on role in a slow-paced, detail-oriented environment focused on complex, custom-made products—not high-volume production. Ideal for candidates who thrive in a small shop setting and value craftsmanship over speed.
Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist:
• Program, set up, and operate MAZAK CNC machines
• Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings
• Perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
• Utilize basic hand and power tools to complete machining tasks
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with a small team to meet custom project needs
• Ensure accuracy and quality of custom parts across a variety of industries
Requirements of the CNC Machinist:
• Prior experience with MAZAK programming is required
• Must be proficient in blueprint reading
• Must supply own basic hand and power tools
• Skilled in the use of micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
• Ability to work independently in a low-volume, custom machining environment
Compensation of the CNC Machinist:
• Competitive pay based on experience – $28 to $32 DOE
• Supportive, family-style work environment in a company of 14 employees
