The HR Business Partner will serve as the key strategic partner to management, overseeing recruitment, training, employee relations, and HR operations across the facility. You will collaborate closely with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring a seamless talent pipeline and a motivated workforce. Your role will involve building strong relationships with hourly staff and operational teams, facilitating effective communication, and supporting a dynamic work environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with management to align HR initiatives with organizational objectives, enhancing overall productivity and culture.
  • Lead sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract top talent for a growing team.
  • Provide expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and compliance, ensuring a smooth employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HR system updates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and development programs that promote continuous improvement and high-performance culture.
  • Address workforce challenges proactively, fostering an environment of trust, professionalism, and collaboration.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in HR, with a focus on talent acquisition and employee relations.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with union experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll, benefits, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to develop rapport with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred), Microsoft Office, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated discretion handling sensitive matters with professionalism and ethical judgment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Service-minded attitude dedicated to supporting employees and operations.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working in union environments.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing-specific HR challenges.
  • Additional certifications in HR or related fields.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of human resources experience, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR operations.
  • Manufacturing experience, particularly within a unionized setting, is highly valued.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to clear background checks and drug screening.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in East Longmeadow, MA.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
