Location: Wharton, NJ
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, mechanically inclined Machinist to join our facility in Wharton, NJ. This role is responsible for operating a variety of machine tools to manufacture, repair, and restore mechanical assemblies while maintaining strict quality and measurement standards. The ideal candidate will have strong milling and machining experience, a solid understanding of precision measurement, and the ability to follow established repair procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual and conventional machining equipment to manufacture and repair mechanical components.
Perform milling operations including drilling, tapping, boring, and related machining processes.
Review, inspect, and repair defective machine parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
Utilize and maintain precision measuring devices to ensure proper sizing and tolerances.
Conduct conventional milling and lathe work using engine lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, and horizontal boring mills.
Apply various metalizing (metal spraying) techniques as required.
Follow all applicable repair procedures, including E/B B31213 and B40816 (current revisions) and approved repair plans.
Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools and techniques.
Hands-on experience with drilling, tapping, boring, conventional milling, and lathe operations.
Ability to read and follow technical repair procedures and documentation.
Experience with metalizing or metal spraying processes preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
