We are looking for a 1st shift Press operator to work for a company in Holyoke on a temp to hire basis.  

Responsibilities of the Press Operator:

• Set up Minister Press Operator to specifications with fixed gauges, scales, micrometers, etc.
• Place tooling in press and align as necessary.
• The press operator performs final inspection on parts when lots are completed, record lot and charge number into logbooks to ensure traceability.
• Determine feed length and stock thickness indicators.
• Work from drawings, route sheets and instructions, select proper tooling, equipment and materials for the job.

Requirements of the Press Operator 

• Basic knowledge and understanding of production tooling.
• Strong understanding of the mechanical aspects of the press and ability to perform adjustments and basic maintenance.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow standard safety regulations.
• Often requires long hours on foot and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• At least 1-2 years in a similar environment is preferred, particularly i
  n metal forming or parts manufacturing.

Compensation/Benefits for the Press Operator

• Salary: $23.75
