About the Role:

The Production role is central to ensuring the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of products within our organization. This position involves overseeing the entire production process, from planning and scheduling to execution and quality control, to meet production targets and deadlines. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to optimize workflows and resolve any production issues promptly. A key outcome of this role is to maintain consistent product standards while maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing waste. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the company’s ability to deliver superior products to customers on time and within budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Basic understanding of production machinery, tools, and safety protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, blueprints, and technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily production activities to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment performance, implementing improvements as needed to enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and troubleshoot any production defects or delays.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on output, downtime, and other key metrics.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the production floor.
  • Train and supervise production staff to maintain high performance and adherence to best practices.

Skills:

The required skills enable the candidate to effectively oversee and optimize production workflows, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and meet quality standards. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for coordinating between departments and managing production staff. Technical skills allow the candidate to understand machinery and troubleshoot issues quickly, minimizing downtime. Preferred skills such as knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ERP systems support continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making. Leadership abilities are crucial for motivating teams, fostering a safe work environment, and driving productivity improvements.
