About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Production Planner to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in orchestrating efficient production schedules to meet regional and global delivery commitments. Leveraging your expertise in planning systems and inventory management, you will ensure raw materials flow seamlessly into our manufacturing processes and that production runs smoothly and on time. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee production schedules aligned with current demand, capacity, and delivery deadlines—supporting both regional and global operations.
  • Maintain and optimize planning systems (including SAP/APO), ensuring accurate production signals, updated schedules, and seamless communication across teams.
  • Monitor capacity loads and identify potential manufacturing bottlenecks early, proposing solutions to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage raw materials procurement by generating and issuing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Coordinate inbound logistics, including monitoring Orient containers and managing the flow of materials into the facility.
  • Track obsolete and excess inventory, prepare disposition documentation, and recommend substitution options to reduce waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies via cycle counts, quality investigations, and system audits, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Compile and distribute regular production and inventory reports to support management decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, logistics, and finance teams to synchronize plans and meet strategic goals.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives to enhance planning processes, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: A 2-year Business Degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing or supply chain planning.
  • Experience: Proven experience with SAP (especially SAP/APO) or similar advanced planning systems; experience with manufacturing and inventory control is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; strong analytical and mathematical skills; ability to troubleshoot planning issues.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of production planning, capacity management, and inventory optimization.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, react quickly to changing priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
