Job Title: Quality Control Reports To: Warehouse Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Shift: 9 am – 5:30 pm M-F
Pay: $18
Summary:
The Quality Control role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying the quality of incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications, safety standards, and operational procedures. This position also involves the safe operation of a forklift to move, load, and organize materials during inspections and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and approve incoming materials and finished goods according to specifications.
Perform visual and measurement tests; document and report quality findings.
Operate a forklift safely to transport, load, and unload materials for inspection and production use.
Communicate quality issues and recommend corrective actions to management.
Maintain inspection logs, quality databases, and equipment calibration records.
Enforce adherence to health, safety, and standard operating procedures.
Support production teams in identifying and resolving quality concerns.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in quality control or a similar role preferred.
Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
Basic math, computer, and reporting skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials as needed.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Tolerance for varying work environments and occasional extended hours.
