Position Summary
The R&D Specialist is responsible for developing, improving, and commercializing products 
to support business growth and innovation. This role works cross-functionally with 
production, quality, and operations teams to ensure new and existing products meet 
company standards for safety, quality, cost, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop new product formulations from concept through commercialization 
• Improve existing products to enhance quality, reduce costs, or increase efficiency 
• Conduct product trials, testing, and validations within the facility 
• Collaborate with production teams to scale up formulas and processes 
• Ensure all products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements 
• Create and maintain product documentation, including formulas, specifications, 
and SOPs 
• Support troubleshooting of production or quality issues related to formulations 
• Conduct shelf-life studies and sensory evaluations 
• Research industry trends, ingredients, and technologies to drive innovation 
• Work closely with procurement on ingredient sourcing and cost optimization 
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the facility

ualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field (preferred) 
• 2–5 years of experience in R&D, preferably in food manufacturing (wafer, chocolate, 
or confectionery experience a plus) 
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP) 
• Experience with product formulation and scale-up processes 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation systems 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
