The Sales & Operations Manager oversees revenue growth and day-to-day operations for a fresh-cut floral wholesale/import environment. This role requires strong experience working with grocery chains, supermarkets, and mass-market retail, along with a solid background in floral products, supply cycles, and merchandising standards.
Lead and grow wholesale sales with grocery stores, supermarkets, mass-market retailers, and floral departments.
Develop sales strategies, forecasting, and seasonal programs tailored to retail floral needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, category managers, and store-level contacts.
Manage and support the sales team to ensure consistent execution and customer satisfaction.
Oversee procurement from growers and vendors; negotiate pricing, terms, and allocations based on retail demand cycles.
Manage inventory, freshness, quality control, and shrink reduction specific to floral perishables.
Coordinate inbound imports, warehouse processes, cold-chain logistics, and distribution timelines aligned with retail expectations.
Align sales forecasts with purchasing and inventory planning (S&OP).
Lead and develop both sales and operations staff.
Monitor KPIs: revenue growth, margins, shrink, inventory turnover, on-time delivery, and retailer service levels.
Streamline processes, improve reliability, and reduce operational costs.
Ensure compliance with floral handling, safety, and cold-chain standards.
5+ years of experience in floral wholesale, floral importing, or floral category management, with direct exposure to perishables.
Proven track record working with grocery chains, supermarkets, or mass-market retailers.
3+ years in sales management and operations within a fast-moving or perishable-goods environment.
Strong negotiation, forecasting, and analytical abilities.
Proficiency with CRM/ERP or inventory systems.
