The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring premises, preventing incidents, and ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and property. This position plays a key role in maintaining a secure and professional environment while responding promptly to any concerns or emergencies.

Job Responsibilities for a Security Guard

• Patrol and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or damage.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, and company assets.
• Conduct regular inspections of entry points, equipment, and facilities.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activities.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
• Collaborate with team members and management to enforce security policies.

Qualifications for a Security Guard

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Compensation/Benefits for a Security Guard

• Shift hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Pay rate: Starting at $20/hour (BOE)
