Service Manager (HVAC & Plumbing)
Auburn, ME
A well-established HVAC and Plumbing contractor in Auburn is seeking a Service Manager to lead their service division. This role oversees technicians, manages day-to-day service operations, and ensures high-quality customer service and project execution.
Responsibilities
• Lead, schedule, and support HVAC and plumbing service technicians
• Oversee service workflow, dispatching, job assignments, and customer communication
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist with field support as needed
• Manage service contracts, maintenance programs, parts ordering, and vendor relationships
• Review estimates, quotes, and project scope for accuracy and profitability
• Ensure safety compliance, quality standards, and timely documentation
• Recruit, train, and develop service staff
• Collaborate with ownership on department goals, budgeting, and operational improvements
Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in HVAC and/or plumbing service, with supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC and plumbing systems
• Proven ability to manage a team and coordinate multiple service calls
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license; ability to support field work as needed
