Are you ready to take your skills in electronics manufacturing to the next level? Our client is seeking a dedicated SMT Operator I to join their team in Westborough, MA. This role is crucial in ensuring the precise placement and soldering of surface mount parts on printed circuit boards. Responsibilities of the SMT Operator I
Set up and operate SMT line equipment, including screen printers, pick and place machines, and reflow ovens.
Adhere to ESD requirements and handle Moisture Sensitive Devices (MSD) according to component moisture sensitive levels (MSL).
Utilize process sheets to ensure accurate product builds.
Load feeders for surface mount machines using provided load lists.
Verify correct part numbers for specific jobs and initiate appropriate programs for SMT equipment.
Perform machine preventative maintenance and operate stencil cleaning machines.
Support and comply with ISO standards and corporate 6S objectives.
Requirements of the SMT Operator I
High School Diploma or GED required.
6 to 12 months of previous electronic experience preferred.
Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing systems and pass IPC-DVE-64C Component Identification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good eyesight, hand and finger dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Knowledge of machine maintenance and problem-solving skills.
