An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, large-scale retail grocer as a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Indirect Procurement. This position plays a critical role in developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple indirect categories, including IT, professional services, facilities management, and HR services.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will partner with internal business units to optimize spend, strengthen supplier performance, and drive measurable value. This is a high-visibility role that influences enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives and supports a culture of continuous improvement and cost optimization.
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute category strategies to achieve cost savings, improve service levels, and ensure quality and compliance.
Supplier Management: Lead supplier negotiations, manage key vendor relationships, and secure contracts that deliver maximum value across cost, quality, and performance.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, assess risks, and identify sourcing opportunities to inform decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal departments—such as IT, HR, Finance, and Marketing—to align procurement strategies with business needs.
Cost Optimization: Identify and deliver cost savings and process efficiencies through negotiation, supplier consolidation, and spend analytics.
Contract Management: Oversee the full contract lifecycle, ensuring terms compliance, renewals, and value realization.
Risk & Compliance: Proactively identify and mitigate supplier and sourcing risks.
Sustainability & Diversity: Integrate ESG and supplier diversity goals into procurement practices.
Performance Reporting: Provide category performance insights, cost savings reports, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in indirect category management.
Proven success driving strategic sourcing initiatives and achieving measurable cost savings.
Strong understanding of procurement systems, supplier management, and contract lifecycle management.
Skills:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with procurement software preferred.
Effective project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Base Salary: $120,000 – $130,000
Annual Bonus: 10% target
