Tooling Maintenance Associate

Do you enjoy hands-on mechanical work and solving problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Masis Staffing has an exciting opportunity for an Embedded Die Repair Associate to support one of our valued manufacturing clients! This full-time position offers the chance to work directly on-site at a customer facility, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on cutting dies used in production. 

Responsibilities of the Embedded Die Repair Associate 

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair or revise dies during production to minimize downtime. 

  • Perform die revisions and replace worn or damaged components. 

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve recurring tooling issues. 

  • Document all repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance activities. 

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety and quality standards. 

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on tooling performance and life cycle. 

  • Operate toolroom machinery such as grinders, chisels, and jigs. 

  • Communicate effectively with both customer and company leadership regarding repair needs and tool conditions. 

  • Manage and organize tooling inventory and maintain die-making equipment to OEM standards. 

  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed. 

Requirements of the Embedded Die Repair Associate 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing or die-cutting environment. 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications accurately. 

  • Excellent problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Basic computer and ERP data-entry skills. 

  • Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
