Production Supervisor – Night Shift

Location: 55th Ave & Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $25/hr + lots of overtime available
Schedule: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM, rotating 2-4 schedule (24/7 operation)

Overview
Manufacturing Production Supervisor  will leads daily production operations to ensure targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. This role supervises and supports associates, maintains an active presence on the production floor, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational oversight to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and key performance indicator (KPI) targets are achieved.
• Review production communications and reports at the start of each shift and prepare required operational documentation, including updated staffing rosters.
• Conduct structured pre-shift meetings to communicate production objectives, operational priorities, and safety updates.
• Verify shift-start attendance and maintain accurate headcount reporting for Human Resources and leadership.
• Assign associates to workstations based on production requirements and monitor workflow to optimize efficiency.
• Perform routine floor walks to coach associates, monitor productivity, and address operational issues in real time.
• Collaborate with on-site staffing agency partners to align temporary workforce coverage with daily production needs.
• Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures, machinery operating protocols, and quality control standards.
• Partner with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) personnel to enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance and workplace safety practices.
• Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks, equipment concerns, and personnel issues to maintain uninterrupted production.
• Maintain accurate daily production records and prepare shift transition summaries to support operational continuity.

Skills/Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and PPE requirements.
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
• Flexibility to work long or demanding hours when required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to actively supervise on the production floor for extended periods.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. with no accommodation. You must be able to stand for long periods of time, twist, bend, reach, pull, push, and stretch any raw materials as needed.
