Masis Professional Group is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client located in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive hourly payrate and benefits package.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and support of electrical systems for industrial laser machines. This includes both high-level design work and hands-on implementation such as wiring, testing, and troubleshooting.
This role requires close collaboration with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance across systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical design and manufacturing of multi-axis CNC laser systems and subassemblies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop electrical/electronic requirements and resolve related issues.
Design and layout digital and analog control systems, cable harnesses, and hardware safety interlocks.
Select and specify components for electrical control systems involving motion control, temperature regulation, and signal processing.
Create or modify electrical/electronic assemblies, schematics, and detailed engineering documentation.
Prepare release documentation, including schematics, test procedures, BOMs, theory of operation, and instruction manuals.
Perform hands-on wiring, cable routing, and system troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (EEET).
Minimum 3 years of experience designing complex, multi-axis CNC laser systems.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
Strong understanding of power design standards, control systems, digital circuitry, and system-level troubleshooting.
Experience with:
AC/DC power distribution.
Motor and motion control systems.
Robotics and delivery systems.
Grounding of power electronics.
Familiarity with computer-based and PLC-based control systems (Ethernet, Modbus, serial protocols).
Basic understanding of mechanical and software disciplines.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and codes.
Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
Must be hands-on and skilled in troubleshooting electronic/electrical systems.
