Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator with hands-on experience in CNC operations and precision inspection using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), specifically the Wenzel X-Orbit X86 with Open DMIS software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating production machinery and verifying part accuracy using advanced metrology tools in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor CNC machines to manufacture parts according to specifications and production schedules.
Perform dimensional inspections using Wenzel X-Orbit X86 CMM and Open DMIS software to ensure components meet GD&T and customer requirements.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections to maintain product quality.
Record and report inspection data accurately; assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions when non-conformities are found.
Perform basic machine maintenance and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience with CMM inspection, specifically using the Wenzel X-Orbit X86 and Open DMIS software.
Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturing.
Familiarity with other metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
CNC programming or setup experience is a plus.
