Shipping & Receiving Summary: 
The Shipping & Receiving is responsible for completing outgoing shipments, verifying orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Shipping and Receiving specialist with a proven track record of handling logistics, inventory control, and timely order fulfillment. Skilled in warehouse equipment operation, loading/unloading, and ensuring smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.

Shipping & Receiving responsibilities: 

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and quality.

• Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with shipping requirements.

• Maintain accurate inventory records by updating logs, scanning products, and performing regular stock counts.

• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries

• Assist with the picking & packing department when slow

Shipping & Receiving Requirements: 

• Experience: Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.

• Equipment Skills: Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

• Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment.

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory systems, RF scanners, and basic computer skills for tracking shipments.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to verify orders, match packing slips, and maintain accurate records.

• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet shipping deadlines.

• Communication: Ability to work with carriers, drivers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.

• Knowledge of Safety Procedures: Understanding of warehouse safety practices and proper handling of goods.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve shipment discrepancies and handle damaged or missing items.

• Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively and assist in other warehouse duties as needed.

Shipping & Receiving Compensation: 

• Salary: $17.00/hr. BOE
