Want to join a reputable warehouse in New Albany OH? Masis Staffing is hiring Machine Operators on all shifts for a unique warehouse in New Albany OH.

Machine Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining the various wick machines. Must monitor product quality and report any deficiencies to supervision.

Machine Operator Role and Responsibilities
Pull raw wick for each work order, make proper labels and acquire appropriate sign-offs.
• Set up machine with correct dyes, speed, fans and temperature.
• Set up wickers and fill with proper wax, wick wax or high melt.
• Mount spools and thread wickers.
• Regularly perform preventative maintenance on all wickers.
• Responsible for daily updates and continuous tracking of individual and cumulative down time of machines.
• Must cycle count all inventory associated with wicking.
• Requires the regular use of Microsoft Office and Excel
• Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, safety policies and procedures.

Machine Operator Duties:
Set-up machines and all auxiliary equipment assigned to the department, to produce wick to blueprint, drawing, Quality Control and Production Order requirements
• Adjust safety equipment and maintain the proper safety records
• Understand requirements and specifications of the job and on safety procedures
•Record and maintain charts and readings as required by Inspection Instruction Sheets, Manufacturing Worksheets, Quality Control Manuals, or individual customer requirements
• Maintain records on inventory as required
• Assist, train and instruct assigned operators as required and advise management of operational, quality or safety problems
• Keep equipment, machinery, benches, tools, gages and area clean and orderly
• Perform tasks as directed by the Line Lead and or Supervision

Machine Operator Range of Experience:

  • 12 months related experience and/or training

Machine Operator Required Skills:
• Ability to read, analyze, understand drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Ability to work from blueprints and specifications and verbal instructions
• Proficient in math
• Ability to read, understand and apply the Quality Control procedures
• Ability to select the proper dies, tools, machinery equipment, gages, etc., required to perform the set-up
• Ability to work to tolerances required using micrometers, dial and vernier calipers, pi-tapes, gages other Quality Control equipment assigned to the Department
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•  Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•  Ability to set-up wick feeders, wick machines, and automatic lubricating equipment; must be willing to acquire necessary knowledge to meet the requirements of the ever-changing technical advancements and customer demands

Machine Operator Pay and Schedule:

  • 1st shift Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm at $19.00 an hour.
  • 2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm at $20.00 an hour.
  • 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 10:30pm-6:30am at $21.00 an hour.
  • Weekly Pay.
  • Temp-to-Hire.
