Summary:
The EH&S Safety Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing safety programs within a photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing environment. This highly visible leadership role will help foster a “Safety Always” culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, promoting environmental stewardship, and managing workplace safety. The role requires strong technical expertise in various EH&S disciplines, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with different departments to mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of EH&S programs to manage risk, improve key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide technical expertise in safety management areas including chemical safety, process safety, equipment safety, ergonomics, hazardous waste management, and environmental permitting.
Collaborate with manufacturing and process teams to establish safety protocols and develop training programs for equipment and processes.
Build and maintain the Emergency Response Team (ERT) for the factory and lead investigations for incidents, driving corrective actions as necessary.
Source and manage third-party resources when internal capabilities are insufficient.
Contribute to process equipment design and modifications by providing timely safety feedback during reviews, installations, and start-up phases.
Influence and guide teams across the organization on EH&S matters, including executive-level communication.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields.
6+ years of EH&S leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment (semiconductor, thin film solar, or chemical manufacturing preferred).
Professional certification (CSP, IH, or CHMM) is required.
Knowledge of local environmental and safety regulations with prior experience working with regulatory agencies.
Proven ability to lead and influence across teams without direct management authority.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in delivering complex EH&S messages.
Willingness to support occasional domestic and international travel.
