Flexographic Press Operator (Mark Andy Experience Required)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: $24-$28/hour DOE
Job Summary:

The Press Operator is responsible for producing high-quality printed materials using assigned flexographic printing equipment. This role involves staging Flexo presses with proper materials and tooling, running press jobs efficiently, and supporting Quality Control efforts in the pressroom.

Responsibilities:

Operates various types of flexographic printing machines (Mark Andy equipment required).
Reviews client job tickets to understand project scope and printing specifications.
Determines quantities and materials required for each job.
Aligns, configures, and sets up press machinery for optimal performance.
Inspects random production samples to evaluate print quality.
Troubleshoots and performs basic maintenance or repairs on press equipment.
Drafts and submits daily production reports.
Maintains a clean and organized work area around press machinery.
Assists with general quality control in the pressroom.

Requirements:

Proven ability to operate or quickly learn to operate various flexographic printing machines.
Ability to follow instructions and production guidelines accurately.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Punctual, dependable, and safety-conscious.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with Mark Andy printing equipment – a MUST.
Prior experience in the narrow web printing industry preferred.
Vocational or technical school training preferred; on-the-job training also provided.
Previous experience in a flexographic or printing-related role preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Physically able to operate and maintain printing machinery.
Able to bend, twist, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
