Are you a skilled TIG Welder looking to tackle challenging projects and make a significant impact? Our client, a leader in manufacturing resistance heating elements since 1952, is seeking a detail-oriented TIG Welder to join their innovative team. You will work with a variety of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel, to produce high-quality welds that meet complex application challenges.
Responsibilities of the Welder
Perform TIG welding primarily on various stainless steels, as well as aluminum and carbon steel.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding diagrams, and technical drawings.
Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Prepare, assemble, and tack-weld parts prior to final welding.
Use hand tools, grinders, and other equipment to prepare surfaces and finish welds.
Perform pressure or vacuum leak tests and rework welds to repair leaks or non-compliant assemblies.
Identify areas for process improvements.
Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
Use metrology equipment such as micrometers and calipers to ensure compliance with print requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements of the Welder
High school diploma or GED; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
Proven experience as a TIG welder.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Familiarity with welding codes and safety standards (e.g., AWS).
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various positions.
Experience with other welding techniques (MIG, Stick, etc.) is a plus.
Fabrication or machining experience is a plus.
Compensation/Benefits for the Welder
$20 – $21 per hour
