Forklift Operator

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trucks, or customer vehicles.
Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Perform load-building, determining the appropriate weight, composition, and placement of loads.
Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials to be moved or loaded.
Convey materials to or from storage to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts, or other devices.
Requirements of the Forklift Operator
Work is performed within a production or yard environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, equipment noise, and dust.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
Required to perform tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling.
Must have at least 1 year of experience as a forklift operator.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation/Benefits for the Forklift Operator
Salary: $15.50/hour.
Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule.
Shift: First Shift from 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Starting immediately.
