Overview
A growing construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Construction to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, including educational, industrial, commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use developments. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities – Project Manager – Construction
Define, evaluate, and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Develop, monitor, and control construction project budgets.
Create, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, including subcontractor coordination.
Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontracts; manage labor, material, and equipment resources to meet schedule demands.
Lead procurement efforts, including material buyouts and supplier coordination.
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, back charges, payment applications, and delay claims.
Collaborate with field personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and architects to resolve issues and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Conduct site inspections to verify quality, progress, and schedule adherence.
Prepare and complete project closeout documentation for owners and stakeholders.
Qualifications – Project Manager – Construction
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of construction management principles and best practices.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience on commercial construction job sites.
Experience with Procore is preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Additional Notes
Salary up to $130,000.
Health insurance with a 50/50 employee premium split.
