2nd Shift Sleeve Machine Technician

Our client is growing and they need a skilled 3rd Shift Sleeve Machine Technician to support their Sleeving operations through equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and quality-focused production activities. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast?paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities for Sleeve Operator – 2nd Shift (87)

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot sleeving equipment and packout machinery.
• Perform material changes and observe preventive maintenance procedures.
• Operate various equipment within the Sleeving department.
• Maintain accurate daily production and equipment records.
• Clean equipment and work areas daily to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Move raw materials into the manufacturing area and transport finished goods out.
• Ensure quality standards are met for finished goods.
• Use quality testing and inspection equipment as required.
• Support and participate in Safety, Quality, and Environmental programs.
• Work under limited supervision and demonstrate strong self?starter abilities.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities once hired permanently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements for Sleeve Operator – 2nd Shift (87)

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to obtain a fork?truck license.
• Required PPE: safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses/goggles.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits for Sleeve Operator – 2nd Shift (87)

• Pay: $18–$21 per hour
• Union dues are required of all non-manager employees on the production floor, including our client's team members. This is $25 a week for the first 4 weeks of work and then drops to $13.20 a week for every week after that.
• Position Type: Temp-to-hire
• Background Check: Conducted upon conversion to full-time employment
• Training:
• Initial training on 1st and 2nd shift for 3–4 weeks
• Transition to 3rd shift after training
