Position Overview 

The Lift Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of lift trucks to transport pallets and materials throughout the facility, including storage areas, production lines, and vehicles. This role supports operational functions, maintains safety and cleanliness standards, and ensures compliance with quality and hygiene protocols. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Safely operate a lift truck to transport materials efficiently. 

  • Select and move orders based on work instructions. 

  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment. 

  • Report mechanical or safety issues to the supervisor promptly. 

  • Assist with inventory management and receiving activities. 

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area. 

  • Follow food safety, legal, quality, and company policies (e.g., GMPs, HACCP). 

  • Adhere to proper safety procedures, including trailer chocking during loading/unloading. 

Working Conditions 

  • Exposure loud noise and varying temperatures (hot/cold). 

  • Physically active throughout the shift, including handling materials. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Ability to safely operate a lift truck (training/certification may be provided). 

  • Basic math skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions. 

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed. 

  • Commitment to good attendance and safe work practices. 

  • Prior experience operating lift trucks in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
