MAINTENANCE PLANNER

A well-established pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Maintenance Planner for a long-term contract role supporting a state-of-the-art operation!

Maintenance Planner – Summary

The Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and maintenance quality by proactively planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance labor, materials, parts, tools, and equipment access to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, scope, and schedule maintenance work, PMs, and facility shutdowns
  • Estimate labor and material requirements (internal & external)
  • Develop job plans, task instructions, material lists, and standard PMs
  • Create purchase requisitions and manage work orders in CMMS/EAM
  • Coordinate with Operations, Packaging, Maintenance, and Engineering
  • Identify work requiring engineering review and support execution planning
  • Maintain GMP, OSHA, and company safety compliance
  • Manage maintenance backlog and continuous improvement initiatives

Administrative & Storehouse Support:

  • Maintain records, BOMs, invoices, and CMMS data
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, and trend analysis
  • Maintain job plans, Gantt charts, critical path and resource leveling tools
  • Support storeroom operations, inventory control, and audits
  • Assist technicians with parts sourcing and ordering
  • Operate forklift as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Maintenance Planner experience
  • Mechanical and/or electrical background required
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, CMMS/EAM, and scheduling
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and process diagrams
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
