Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our industrial electro-mechanical team. This role is ideal for a strong problem solver with hands-on experience installing, aligning, balancing, and troubleshooting motors, pumps, fans, and related equipment exceeding 200HP. The technician will work in both shop and field environments while maintaining strict safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, align, balance, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment including motors, pumps, and fans.
Perform diagnostic testing using specialized testing equipment and established troubleshooting methods.
Verify repairs through start-up testing procedures and operational checks.
Operate specialized tools and equipment including:
Laser alignment systems
Portable balancing equipment
Megohmmeters
Clamp-on ammeters
Handheld power and non-power tools
Follow company procedures for requisitioning and replacing materials and parts.
Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, including use of respiratory, eye, and hearing protection in accordance with E/B B30501 (current revision).
Apply working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems during troubleshooting and repair activities.
Document work performed and communicate findings to supervisors or team members.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and testing electro-mechanical equipment.
Experience performing equipment start-up testing and repair verification procedures.
Hands-on experience with industrial equipment over 200HP preferred.
Basic understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Additional trade school, vocational training, military technical training, or machine shop experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to learn, retain, and follow operational and safety procedures.
Schedule
First Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime opportunities available after standard 8-hour shifts.
