Masis Staffing is hiring a detail-oriented 2nd shift Label Clerk to support warehouse/production operations by receiving, organizing, issuing, and tracking labels and label components. 

Location: New Albany, OH
Pay: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30pm-10:30pm
Type: Temp-to-hire

 


Label Clerk Duties:

  • Receive labels into inventory with correct part numbers, quantities, locations, and system transactions
  • Set up and maintain bin locations (physically and in the system)
  • Issue labels to the correct work orders, ensuring domestic/international labels match properly
  • Print and manage labels (including BME labels), maintain date codes, and support batch tracking
  • Pull, stage, and issue label components for production jobs; ensure accurate documentation and entries
  • Return excess labels to stock with correct counts, documentation, and inventory adjustments
  • Use a scale for precision counts, including counting returned labels and combining smaller rolls when needed
  • Perform cycle counts and work with finance to resolve/adjust on-hand inventory balances
  • Support the Label Lead with delegated tasks as assigned

Label Clerk Essential Job Functions

  • Navigate and transact in IFS (ERP) to receive, issue, transfer, and reconcile materials
  • Stage and issue side/bottom labels according to work order instructions
  • Send batch information electronically to ShopVue on the production floor
  • Reconcile materials after each run and return items to stock to close out work orders accurately
  • Transfer labels between storage bins with precise tracking and clean documentation

Label Clerk Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to read/interpret shop orders accurately
  • Clear communication—comfortable working with multiple line leaders throughout the day
  • Able to troubleshoot label printer issues and keep production supported
  • Works accurately even with frequent interruptions and deadlines
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team

Experience & Education

  • Experience: 6 months–1 year in a related role or strong administrative/data-entry experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED

Helpful for success: basic computer skills, basic math, inventory knowledge, accurate data entry, and comfort learning/using ERP systems (IFS).


Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials
  • May require kneeling/crouching/sitting/climbing/balancing at times
  • Warehouse/production environment with moderate noise, moving equipment, airborne particles
