3rd Shift Machine Operator ($ 16.50)

  • 9pm – 5am

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of capsule manufacturing equipment. This role ensures production goals are met while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and documentation. The operator monitors machine performance, performs changeovers, completes required records, and communicates production progress to supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect raw materials for quality and quantity prior to loading
  • Prepare and load raw materials into the machine
  • Set up, align, and operate capsule machines according to instructions
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Maintain production output logs and complete all required documentation
  • Prepare tooling and perform machine changeovers
  • Perform in-process testing to ensure optimal machine operation
  • Enter production parameters such as size, speed, and settings into the control station
  • Maintain quality standards and meet production quotas and schedules
  • Perform routine safety checks on all machines
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
  • Ensure preventative maintenance procedures are completed
  • Ensure required materials and supplies are available at all times
  • Communicate production status and issues to supervisors
  • Follow established procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Complete other job-related tasks as assigned by your supervisor
  • Assist with additional duties as needed, as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with computers and machine control stations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
