Masis Staffing is hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Orbital Welder to join a precision manufacturing environment supporting high-purity gas and fluid distribution systems. This role requires experience working with stainless steel piping and orbital welding equipment in a clean, controlled production environment.
The Orbital Welder is responsible for producing high-quality welded assemblies within a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This position requires precision, strong technical skills, and the ability to work with tight tolerances while following strict quality and contamination control procedures.
Set up, operate, and maintain orbital welding equipment, power supplies, and tooling.
Perform high-purity orbital welding on stainless steel gas lines ranging from ¼ inch to 6 inches in diameter.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld maps, P&IDs, and blueprints to complete assemblies according to specifications.
Create, modify, and optimize orbital weld schedules and programs.
Use precision hand tools and purge tooling to complete weld setups and adjustments.
Conduct daily and preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
Maintain strict cleanroom procedures, including contamination control and IPA cleaning practices.
Work within tight tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while supporting team production goals.
Follow EHS guidelines and quality standards at all times.
Perform additional duties as needed to support production.
Minimum 5+ years of orbital welding experience.
Prior certification or training in orbital welding and/or manual GTAW (TIG) required.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld procedures, and engineering documentation.
Experience working within tight tolerances (±1/32″) using precision measurement tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
Basic computer skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
High attention to quality, repeatability, and process control.
Experience in cleanroom or high-purity fabrication environments.
Manual TIG welding experience with stainless steel piping.
Previous experience in contract manufacturing or semiconductor-related industries.
Coursework in welding technology or advanced fabrication.
Cleanroom manufacturing environment with strict contamination control procedures
Fast-paced production setting supporting precision manufacturing
Requires adherence to cleanroom protocols and safety guidelines
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently and more with assistance.
Strong manual dexterity and visual attention to detail required.
Exposure to manufacturing noise, inert gases, cleaning agents, and moving equipment.
Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and cleanroom garments.
Work around electrical systems and pressurized equipment.
