Job Title: Forklift Driver
Location: Niles, IL
Hours: Mon- Thurs| 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Job Description:
The Warehouse Material Handler supports daily warehouse and production operations by ensuring accurate receiving, storage, staging, and movement of materials. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring strong forklift skills, inventory accuracy, and the ability to work in freezer environments. The ideal candidate takes ownership of material flow, follows food safety and GMP standards, and communicates effectively with production and warehouse teams.
This position is based at Rich Products’ Niles, IL facility, a 24/7 frozen food manufacturing plant specializing in Toppings, Creams, and Culinary Solutions. The plant operates year-round with rotating shifts and emphasizes safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, stage, label, and store raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
  • Verify inbound shipments by physical count against delivery documentation
  • Enter receiving and material movement data into SAP or company systems using RF scanners
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices
  • Stage ingredients and packaging based on daily production schedules
  • Perform cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies
  • Properly label open or partial materials to maintain traceability
  • Maintain adequate supplies of ingredients, packaging, pallets, and containers
  • Work in freezer environments with temperatures as low as -20°F
  • Operate sit-down forklifts, extended-reach lifts, and electric pallet jacks
  • Complete and document daily equipment inspections
  • Report equipment or mechanical issues promptly
  • Support warehouse and freezer housekeeping standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food processing, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing
  • At least 3 years of hands-on forklift experience (Crown equipment preferred)
  • Experience operating sit-down forklifts, extended-reach lifts, and electric pallet jacks
  • Basic computer skills; ability to enter data accurately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work in freezer conditions and lift/move materials safely
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience and RF scanner proficiency
  • Advanced coursework or certifications in manufacturing or food safety
  • Prior experience as a certified forklift trainer
