Responsibilities of the Tig Welding Machine Operator
Set up and operate TIG welding machines, adjusting settings and preparing workpieces for welding.
Perform welding operations on metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel, ensuring precision and strength.
Inspect finished welds for quality, consistency, and durability, ensuring they meet specified standards.
Maintain and inspect welding machines and tools to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding processes and materials required.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
Requirements of the Tig Welding Machine Operator
Proficiency in operating TIG welding machines and other welding equipment.
Understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding codes.
Ability to produce high-precision welds with minimal defects.
Strong hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for handling heavy equipment and materials.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of welding safety standards and proper handling of hazardous materials.
Prior experience in TIG welding or a similar welding role; experience in the specific industry is a plus.
Compensation/Benefits for the Tig Welding Machine Operator
Pay Rate $20-$23 DOE
