Are you ready to join a dynamic team where precision and efficiency are key? Our client is seeking a dedicated Chip Spinner to ensure the smooth operation of their manufacturing processes. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards, this opportunity is for you!
Responsibilities of the Chip Spinner
Collect and spin metal chips following established methods and procedures, including lean manufacturing concepts.
Maintain and deliver raw materials for the Primary and CNC Manufacturing areas.
Ensure Purchase Order Numbers are accurately tagged on materials and included in the pick list.
Operate the Chip Spinning Machine efficiently and safely.
Collect chips from machine areas and clean out machines as needed.
Pick up raw material scrap and maintain a clean shop floor.
Inspect raw materials for quality and differentiate various raw metals.
Requirements of the Chip Spinner
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety footwear, goggles, and earplugs.
Maintain a neat, clean, organized, and safe work area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping tanks, and organizing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or delegates.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts is a plus.
Other duties as required.
