Job Title: Mid Shift Operations Lead
Location: Romeoville, IL
Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM + OT (as needed)
Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour

Job Description:
The 2nd Shift Operations Lead is responsible for supporting and guiding daily warehouse operations while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. This role oversees workflow, assists team members with operational issues, and partners with leadership to drive overall warehouse performance. The position requires strong experience in warehouse operations, material handling equipment, and team coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support daily warehouse operations to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met
• Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, and Sit-Down Forklift as needed
• Monitor workflow and allocate resources to maintain efficient operations
• Assist team members in resolving operational issues and answering process-related questions
• Investigate and report discrepancies related to inventory, safety concerns, or non-conforming product
• Monitor individual and team performance and escalate issues to leadership when necessary
• Partner with other team leads and supervisors to support overall warehouse performance
• Perform Value Added Services (VAS) such as labeling, packaging, and preparing customer-specific orders
• Ensure accurate reporting of completed shipments and proper separation by carrier and service
• Inspect products for damage and verify order quantities for accuracy and quality
• Update team communication boards and assist with departmental communication
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements
• Maintain warehouse organization, housekeeping, and administrative tasks as needed
• Follow all company policies, SOPs, safety regulations, and environmental practices
• Assist with other warehouse functions including dock work, table work, and general warehouse operations
• Labor share across departments as business needs require

Requirements:

• Minimum of warehouse or distribution center experience required
• Previous leadership, lead, or team coordination experience required
• Must have experience operating Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, and Sit-Down Forklift
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and operational procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be comfortable working overtime as business needs require
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be willing to submit to a drug screen
• Must be willing to submit to a background screen
