Position Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in accordance with hotel standards, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. This role supports kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, maintaining food safety standards, and working efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist with daily food preparation and mise en place
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and rotation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations
Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
Monitor food quality and freshness
Assist with inventory control and report shortages
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
Maintain compliance with health and safety policies
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Food Handler Certification
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Basic knife skills and understanding of cooking methods
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift up to 40–50 lbs
Work in hot, fast-paced kitchen environments
