Job Title: Winding Machine Operator
Location: Mesa, AZ
Pay: $20.00 per hour weekly pay
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM (schedule may vary seasonally—typically earlier start times during summer months and later start times during winter, depending on weather conditions).
Job Summary: The Winding Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring coil winding machinery used in the production of precision springs. This role ensures products meet quality, dimensional, and safety standards while maintaining production efficiency and minimizing waste.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate winding machines according to job specifications and work orders
Select and install appropriate tooling, wire, and materials for each production run
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper winding, tension, and alignment
Inspect finished springs for accuracy, defects, and compliance with quality standards
Perform routine adjustments to maintain product specifications
Record production data, counts, and quality checks as required
Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety guidelines
Perform basic machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly
Work closely with quality and production teams to meet daily goals
Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures
Qualifications:
Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred (spring or metal fabrication experience a plus)
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or specifications
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Basic math and measurement skills (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs as needed
Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
