Quality Control Inspector

Our client, a leader in the production of life-saving medical device components, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector for the 2nd shift. Join our client's team and contribute to the future of innovation and excellence.
 

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Inspector 

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections at random to assess product quality.

  • Inspect and test materials and products by measuring dimensions, examining functionality, and comparing results to quality expectations.

  • Utilize a variety of measurement devices, fixtures, and equipment, including tape measures, pin gages, laser micrometers, magnifiers, and vision systems.

  • Follow good documentation practices (GDP) for recording all inspection results and activities.

  • Remove or discard products and equipment that fail to meet specifications.

  • Adhere to manufacturing and quality processes, including testing and documentation, to ensure products meet specified criteria.

  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality standards.
     

Requirements of the Quality Control Inspector 

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to inspect products using various inspection tools.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings, specifications, procedures, manuals, and work instructions.

  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a team environment.

  • Preferred: Proficiency with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or FDA/cGMP quality system requirements.

  • Preferred: American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector Certification or similar.

  • Preferred: 3-5 years of quality control and/or laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing or medical organization.

  • Preferred: Six Sigma green belt certification and/or experience with continuous improvement tools and techniques.
     

Compensation/Benefits for the Quality Control Inspector 2nd

  • Pay Rate $18.00
