Our client is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and safety-conscious quality control technician to join our production team in a fast-paced scallop processing environment here in Fall River, MA. This is a strong opportunity for individuals with quality control experience to grow within the food production industry.

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Control Technician
Monitor and document production processes to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations
Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for quality and safety standards
Report non-conformances and assist with root cause investigations
Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to maintain a clean and compliant facility
Calibrate and maintain testing equipment and instruments
Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records and reports

Qualifications for a Quality Control Technician
High school diploma or equivalent required
Post-secondary education in food science or related field (preferred)
Previous experience in quality control, food production, or seafood processing (preferred)
Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety protocols
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Good verbal and written communication skills   
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, data entry)

Work Environment & Physical Demands of a Quality Control Technician
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and handling materials
Exposure to cold, wet, and humid conditions
Exposure to loud machinery
Ability to handle seafood products
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, boots, aprons, and hearing protection

Compensation & Benefits of Quality Control Technician
Salary: $19.00 per hour or based on experience
