Cable Operator – 2nd Shift

Our client is seeking a dedicated Cable Operator for the 2nd shift to join their team and ensure the smooth operation of their cabling lines. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities of the Cable Operator – 2nd Shift
Set up, start, and shut down cabling lines efficiently.
Operate payoffs, binders, fillers, and take-up systems with precision.
Follow work orders and setup sheets to stage materials accurately.
Monitor line speed, tension, and lay length to ensure optimal production.
Inspect cables for defects using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Maintain material traceability logs diligently.
Assist with reel changes and equipment adjustments as needed.
Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to 5S principles.
Report any process or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
Complete production reports accurately and on time.
Requirements of the Cable Operator – 2nd Shift
High school diploma or GED required.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn industrial processes.
Reliable attendance with the ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends.
Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
Ability to distinguish colors accurately.
Compliance with OSHA, PPE, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols.
Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs.
Comfortable working in a loud, high-heat industrial setting with repetitive motions.
Compensation/Benefits for the Cable Operator – 2nd Shift – 2PM TO 10PM AT $22.00
