Extrusion Operator – 2nd Shift

Are you ready to take your first step into the world of industrial manufacturing? Our client is seeking a dedicated Extrusion Operator for the 2nd shift to join their dynamic team. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the wire and cable manufacturing process, ensuring safe and high-quality production.
Responsibilities of the Extrusion Operator – 2nd Shift
Assist with the setup, startup, and shutdown of extrusion lines and equipment, including extruders, payoffs, and cooling troughs.
Monitor temperature, speed, and pressure, making basic equipment adjustments as directed by senior staff.
Load and stage resins, compounds, and reels while maintaining a clean 5S workspace.
Inspect products for defects and use micrometers and calipers to verify specifications.
Complete production logs and report any process abnormalities to supervisors.
Requirements of the Extrusion Operator – 2nd Shift
High school diploma or GED; previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Strong mechanical interest, basic math skills, and high attention to detail.
Dependable attendance with the ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
Strict adherence to PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and hazard reporting protocols.
Ability to stand for long shifts, perform repetitive motions, and lift/pull up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a loud, heated industrial setting.
Compensation/Benefits for the Extrusion Operator – 2nd Shift – 2PM TO 10PM AT $22.00
