Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Driver to join our warehouse/operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and organize materials and products within the warehouse or facility.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials, pallets, and products safely and efficiently
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage racks
Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and organization of materials in the warehouse
Perform routine forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks; report issues or safety concerns
Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use and OSHA/company guidelines
Assist with general warehouse duties including inventory support, order picking, and cleaning work areas
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and safety
Qualifications:
Must pass a written forklift exam and complete a driving forklift test
Prior forklift certification and proven experience operating sit-down forklifts
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs as needed
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and reliability
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and manage multiple tasks
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures
Standing, walking, and operating a forklift for extended periods
Potential overtime or shift flexibility as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely
Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
Ability to bend, reach, and lift as required for daily tasks
