CNC Operator/Set Up Person

Are you a skilled CNC Operator looking to take your career to the next level? Our client is seeking a dedicated CNC Operator/Set Up Person to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring precision and efficiency in the machining process, from programming to the final product.
Responsibilities of the CNC Operator/Set Up Person
Perform set-up and first piece machining of routine CNC machining jobs.
Collaborate with the Machine Shop Supervisor to address and correct first piece inspection discrepancies.
Machine components on CNC mills with precision and accuracy.
Train CNC Operators to efficiently complete production runs.
Conduct routine in-process inspections, both visual and dimensional.
Execute tasks associated with CNC Operator and Machine Operator roles.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements of the CNC Operator/Set Up Person
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Proficiency in operating CNC milling machines.
Ability to use drill presses and hand deburring equipment effectively.
3-5 years of experience in operating CNC mills.
Familiarity with Bridgeport mills with Prototrax controls is preferred.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods (3-4 hours).
Visual acuity for working with small components and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
