Palletizer & Materials Handler

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Shift: Must be flexible to rotate between shifts as needed:

  • 1st Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:15 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Position Summary

The Palletizer & Materials Handler is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely movement, allocation, and tracking of materials and finished products throughout the facility. This position operates forklifts and electric pallet jacks, maintains inventory accuracy, performs palletizing and wrapping functions, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and ERP system requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect and operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently (valid forklift certification required).
  • Feed approved empty pallets to the palletizer and remove completed pallets of finished products in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a continuous supply and proper flow of materials between warehouse and production areas.
  • Accurately scan and record all inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Wrap, label, and identify full and partial pallets using the automatic wrapping machine and scanner.
  • Issue labels and report production quantities at the wrapping station.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper allocation, identification, organization, and scanning practices.
  • Preserve labels on boxes and pallets to ensure traceability and accurate ERP inventory updates.
  • Load and unload trucks safely, efficiently, and in an organized manner.
  • Maintain pallet staging areas and ensure emergency exits remain clear and accessible.
  • Transport empty pallets into the facility using a forklift.
  • Keep work areas, equipment, and forklifts clean, organized, properly parked, and charged.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
  • Report discrepancies, equipment issues, and safety concerns to the Manufacturing Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification/license required.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material handling preferred.
  • Experience with inventory systems, barcode scanners, and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment while following all safety requirements.
