Turret Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused turret operator to join our warehouse operations team. The turret operator will be responsible for operating turret trucks to efficiently move, store, and retrieve materials in narrow aisle environments. The ideal turret operator has experience with material handling equipment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. As a turret operator, you will support inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and overall warehouse productivity. The successful turret operator will work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure operational goals are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate turret trucks safely and efficiently in narrow aisle warehouse environments.
  • Pick, transport, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
  • Load and unload inventory while following established procedures.
  • Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and warehouse safety regulations.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment activities.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to meet productivity targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience operating a turret truck required.
  • Valid forklift/turret truck certification preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights and in narrow aisle environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties.
  • Basic math and inventory management skills.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
