Position: Quality Control Inspector – Stainless Steel Fabrication Shop
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $32.00 – $38.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available

Our client, a well-established stainless steel fabrication and industrial manufacturing company in Phoenix, is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication and welding background who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and maintaining high production standards.
Position Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for inspecting stainless steel fabrication projects, piping assemblies, and weldments to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fabrication shop environment and a strong understanding of welding and inspection processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect fabricated stainless steel components, weldments, and assemblies for quality and accuracy
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools and inspection equipment
• Conduct visual weld inspections and identify non-conforming work
• Review material traceability and fabrication documentation
• Maintain accurate quality reports and inspection records
• Work closely with welders, fitters, shop supervisors, and production teams to address quality concerns
• Ensure products meet internal standards and customer requirements
• Support shop safety initiatives and maintain organized work areas
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of quality control experience in stainless steel fabrication, welding, pipe fabrication, or manufacturing
• Strong understanding of welding and fabrication processes including TIG/GTAW welding
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Experience using measuring tools including calipers, tape measures, and gauges
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in industrial piping, sanitary stainless steel, or pressure vessel fabrication
• CWI certification or related quality certifications preferred but not required
• Familiarity with ASME or other fabrication quality standards is a plus
